Minimum requirements to Install Web-SP on your server

 

Server

• Hardware
  • Processor: Min. Pentium 4 or similar.
  • Memory (RAM): Min. 1Gb
  • Hard Drive: Min. 40Gb
• Operating System: Linux/Unix/Windows/MacOS
  
  We recommend Linux/UNIX
  Install an OS that you are very familiar with.
• Support email: eg. websp.support@xxxx
• A domain name: eg. websp.xxxx.edu (if you are hosting web-sp on a dedicated server)

 

Java (J2SE JDK)

• Download Java J2SE JDK from http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/download.jsp
• Follow the documentation to install http://java.sun.com/j2se/1.5.0/install.html

 

MySQL

• Download MySQL (production release)http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/mysql/4.1.html
• Follow the documentation to install http://www.mysql.com/doc/en/Installing.html

 

The rest is provided as a package bundled with the Web-SP application
